Cancellation Policy
Midlands Entertainment UK understand that sometimes plans change and it may be necessary for you to cancel or amend your booking. Our cancellation policy details any cancellation fees that may be due and payable.
Our cancellation policy applies to our terms and conditions.
On booking any of our products you have the right to cancel and receive payment back within 7 days of making a booking (excluding any booking fee) unless your booking is received within 14 days before your party or event then you can only change the date or item and no refund will be made.
If you wish to change the product this must be done with a minimum of 7 days notice and is subject to availability. Please note depending on what you are asking to be changed there may be a charge.
Booking Fee
A non-refundable booking fee of £10.00 is asked to be made for all products. This will be deducted from your total cost of the booking.
Your booking fee is non-refundable covering our administrative costs when reserving your date and products. Please note that this must be paid within 24 hours of making the booking otherwise we have the right to cancel your booking. Midlands Entertainment UK cannot reserve any products or dates without a booking fee being made prior.
Cancellation due to weather
If we, Midlands Entertainment UK cancel on the grounds of safety due to poor weather conditions that may cause injury the option of a new hire date will be offered. If the customer cancels due to poor weather condition no refund will be given. The option of a new hire date may be offered at the discretion of Midlands Entertainment UK.
Cancellation by the Client/Customer
All cancellations must be made over the phone by calling 07472 324071 or 0791956505 during normal office hours of 9am-5pm. Cancellations cannot be taken by voicemail, text, email or any other methods.
The following charges will apply to all bookings where cancelled by the client/customer:
Cancellation for Video DJ.
- Cancellation on the day (24 hours before booking date) - 100% of total cost
- Cancellation 6 full days before the booking date or less - 50% of total cost
- Cancellation 7 full days before - no charge.
Cancellation for Photobooth.
- Cancellation on the day (24 hours before booking date) - 100% of total cost
- Cancellation 6 full days before the booking date or less - 50% of total cost
- Cancellation 7 full days before - no charge.
Cancellation for Packages.
- Cancellation on the day (24 hours before booking date) - 100% of total cost
- Cancellation 6 full days before the booking date or less - 50% of total cost
- Cancellation 7 full days before - no charge.
Cancellation for all other services.
- Cancellation on the day (24 hours before booking date) - 100% of total cost
- Cancellation 6 full days before the booking date or less - 50% of total cost
- Cancellation 7 full days before - no charge.
Cancellation due to unsuitable surface or size / part-package cancellation
It is the customers/clients responsibility to measure the size of the area that the products will be going including the venues ceiling height for indoor hires. Midlands Entertainment UK reserve the right to cancel/refuse the setup of all products:
- The setup is of an insufficient size that is likely to cause injury and/or damage to our equipment.
- The surface type is not suitable for appropriate anchorage and/or likely to cause injury or damage to our equipment.
- The ceiling height within indoor venues is not high enough and/or likely to cause injury or damage to our equipment.
- For any other reason that Midlands Entertainment UK believe that any product or any equipment provided by Midlands Entertainment may or is likely to cause injury or damage to our equipment, the setup location or venue.
Where we are unable to set up the product or package due to issues relating to insufficient area size, unsuitable surface type or inadequate ceiling height the full remaining payment balance will still be payable.
When a product or package is cancelled due to insufficient area size, unsuitable surface type or inadequate ceiling height the full package remaining payment balance will still be payable. Other services within the party package will still be provided.
Cancellation by Midlands Entertainment UK - Non weather related
It is very rare for us to have to cancel a booking but sometimes we are forced to due to circumstances beyond our control. Any cancellation due to reasons beyond our control (except for weather please see above) a full refund of any monies paid other than the non-refundable booking fee. i.e but not exhausted to vehicle breakdown, equipment breakdown, staff shortages or any other reason, excluding health and safety grounds, lack of space, access, wrong surface type or for not producing if requested acceptable forms of ID, as these are confirmed before booking and down to the customer/client to check and confirm.
Force Majeure
Midlands Entertainment UK will not be liable for any failure or delay in our obligations where that failure or delays are caused beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but not limited to: traffic, weather effecting delivery of equipment to a location by specified time, weather effecting use of equipment, power failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, explosion, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of war, governmental action, epidemic, pandemic or other natural disasters or anything else that is beyond our control.
If Midlands Entertainment UK have to cancel due to Force Majeure providing that you have only paid your non-refundable booking fee none of the above cancellation charges set out above will need to be paid. However, your booking fee is non-refundable. If you have paid in full, we will allocate any payments already made to a new booking. We cannot refund the money already paid it must be allocated to a new booking within 3 months of the original booking date.
